General Statute 105 -369 requires counties to report the amount of <br />unpaid taxes for the current year, 2010, that are liens on real property, <br />less bankruptcies, and to set an advertisement date. <br />2010 Real Estate $8,121,956.26 <br />Less Bankruptcies $189,663.72 (Cannot advertise.) <br />Total $7,932,292.54 (Balance as of February 24, 2011.) <br />Requested Date of Advertisement of Tax Liens: March 27, 2011. <br />Quotes are being obtained for the advertisement. The ad will also be <br />posted on the County website. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Burrage <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the report of 2010 outstanding <br />delinquent taxes that are a lien on real property and to order the Tax <br />Collector to advertise these tax liens on March 27, 2011 <br />(G) NEW BUSINESS <br />(G -1) EDC - Economic Development Grant Request for 390 Business Boulevard, <br />LLC and Public Hearing - 6:30 P.M. <br />Ryan McDaniels, of the Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation (EDC), <br />presented the following information related to a request for an Economic <br />Development Grant (3 -year, 85 percent) for 390 Business Boulevard, LLC, an <br />industrial real estate development company: . the company proposes to <br />construct a Class A 88,527 square feet (expandable to 140,000 square feet) <br />speculative industrial building at 4541 Enterprise Drive in Concord with an <br />estimated investment of $6,272,964.00 in real estate. Speculative buildings <br />and leases are eligible for economic grants pursuant to Section 3, Project <br />Categories, Grant Parameters and Eligibility, Article 4 of the Cabarrus <br />County Economic Development Grant Program, adopted on October 20, 2008 and <br />modified on September 21, 2009. <br />Mr. McDaniels also reported local sources, including a local <br />engineering firm and construction company, will be used to construct the <br />building which will have a ceiling height of 30 feet to accommodate <br />manufacturing. Further, he reported LEED points (Leadership in Energy and <br />Environmental Design - -an internationally acclaimed certification for new <br />construction using "green" initiatives, are in place; the EDC Board of <br />
