March 21, 2011 (Regular Meeting) Page 363 <br />(I -1) BOC - Receive Updates from Commission Members Who Serve as Liaisons to <br />Municipalities or on Various Board /Committees <br />Commissioner Carruth announced PBH (Piedmont Behavioral Healthcare) <br />will be merging with Alamance- Caswell Behavioral Healthcare in the next few <br />months. <br />(I -2) Request for Applications for County Boards /Committees <br />Applications are being accepted for the following County <br />Boards /Committees: <br />• Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee <br />• Animal Protection and Preservation Advisory Committee <br />• Concord Planning and Zoning Commission (ETJ) <br />• Council for a Sustainable Local Economy <br />• Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority <br />• Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee <br />• Youth Council <br />Chairman White asked citizens to consider participating on a Board or <br />Committee. <br />(J) GENERAL COMMENTS BY BOARD MEMBERS <br />Chairman White announced that the UNC Charlotte College of Health and <br />Human Services is hosting a career fair at the Cabarrus Arena and Events <br />Center on April 14 for middle school students and that `Live It Up Cabarrus" <br />is a free event encouraging healthy living and will be held at Frank Liske <br />Park on April 2nd <br />(K) WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT OF CABARRUS COUNTY <br />None. <br />(L) CLOSED SESSION <br />None. <br />(M) Adjourn <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole, <br />and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 9:13 p.m. <br />Kay ney tt, le to the Board <br />
