Jay White, Sr., Chairman <br />ATTEST: <br />/s/ Kay Honeycutt <br />Clerk to the Board <br />CABARRUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT <br />SPECIAL REVENUE PROJECT ORDINANCE <br />Ordinance No. 2011 -23 <br />BE IT ORDAINED, by the Board of County Commissioners of the <br />County of Cabarrus, North Carolina, that, pursuant to Section <br />13.2 of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, <br />the following special revenue project ordinance is hereby <br />adopted: <br />Section 1. The special revenue project authorized is for <br />the purpose of collecting and appropriating federal and state <br />funds received specifically for the Cabarrus County Sheriff's <br />Department. <br />Section 2. The officers of this unit are hereby directed <br />to proceed with this project within the terms of the guidelines <br />as set forth by the federal and state government, Generally <br />Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the budget contained <br />herein. <br />Section 3. The following budgeted amounts are appropriated <br />for the projects: <br />Federal Forfeiture Funds: <br />Federal Forfeiture Sharing Justice Funds $ 197,788 <br />Federal Forfeiture Sharing Treasury Funds $ 120,394 <br />Contribution to General Fund -Fed Forf $ 107,687 <br />NC Substance Control: <br />NC Substance Control Expenses $ 519,933 <br />Firing Range: <br />Firing Range Maintenance /Repair $ 5,601 <br />Section 4. The following revenues are anticipated to be <br />available to complete this project: <br />Federal Forfeiture Funds: <br />Federal Forfeiture Sharing <br />Justice Funds <br />$ <br />99,923 <br />Federal Forfeiture Sharing <br />Treasury Funds <br />$ <br />194,599 <br />Contribution from General <br />Fund -Fed Forf <br />$ <br />114,935 <br />Interest on Investments - Federal <br />Forfeiture <br />$ <br />16,412 <br />NC Substance Control: <br />NC Substance Control Funds <br />$ <br />296,715 <br />Interest on Investments -NC <br />Substance Control <br />$ <br />53,015 <br />Contribution from General <br />Fund <br />$ <br />170,203 <br />Firing Range: <br />Firing Range Funds <br />Interest on Investments <br />$ 5,426 <br />$ 175 <br />Section 5. The Finance Officer is hereby directed to <br />maintain within the Special Revenue Fund sufficient detailed <br />accounting records. <br />Section 6. Funds may be advanced from the General Fund for <br />the purpose of making payments as due. Reimbursement to the <br />General Fund should be made in an orderly and timely manner. <br />
