UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Carruth and unanimously carried, the Board accepted the grant award from the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, N.C. Agricultural Development and Farmland Preservation Trust Fund and authorized the Interim County Manager, County Attorney and Soil and Water District to process and approve the contract as appropriate. (H) APPOINTMENTS (H -1) Appointment - Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee This item was tabled to the December 19, 2011 meeting. (H -2) Appointment - Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee Ms. Dianna Bingle has submitted an application to serve on the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee. She has been prequalified by the Regional Ombudsman. The Commerce Department has confirmed she is a Cabarrus County resident although she has a Charlotte address. There are currently six (6) vacant positions on this Committee. UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Burrage and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Dianna Bingle to the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee for a one -year term ending November 30, 2012. (I) REPORTS (I -1) PBH - Presentation of the 2011 First Quarter Dashboard Report Anna Yon, PBH (Piedmont Behavioral Healthcare) Community Operations Center Director, presented the 2011 First Quarter Dashboard Report. The report included the following information: • Cabarrus County Funding • Number of Consumers Served by Funding • Registry of Unmet Needs for Cabarrus County • Number of Consumers Served and Expenses by Service category • Provider Information for Cabarrus County - Number of Consumers Served and Payments • Detailed Services by Provider and Number of Consumers Served She also responded to questions from the Board. No action was taken. (I -2) Library - Annual State Report The Board received the following report as part of the Agenda: Cabarrus County Public Library 2010 -2011 North Carolina Public Library Survey. (I -3) CSLE - Council for a Sustainable Local Economy - Report The Board received the following report as part of the Agenda: Cabarrus County Council for a Sustainable Local Economy Planning Retreat October 29, 2011 Summary Report. (I -4) BOC - Receive Updates from Commission Members Who Serve as Liaisons to Municipalities or on Various Boards /Committees None. (I -5) Request for Applications for County Boards /Committees Applications are being accepted for the following County Boards /Committees: • Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee • Animal Protection and Preservation Advisory Committee • Concord Planning and Zoning Commission (ETJ) • Council for a Sustainable Local Economy
