SPENCER PARK <br />CAMPING RULES <br />Please report any dama es or missin items to the Park Ran er immediately <br />upon check in. You must checkout with a Park Ranger and complete a <br />walkthrough of your area before departing. <br />Camping is allowed in designated areas by permit only. <br />ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PROHIBITED (Cabarrus County Ordinance Section 50-4) <br />Reservations are required and can be made by calling 704-920-3351 Monday thru <br />Friday between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm. Fourteen (14) days maximum <br />continuous stay. <br />Registration: adults (21 years of age or older) must register and occupy <br />site. Children under 18 years of age must not be left alone and must have <br />adult supervision at all times. Guests are required to check in and out with <br />the Park Ranger. <br />Parking: after registering vehicles may be driven to site to unload and again <br />to load when departing. (20 minute limit) At all other times vehicles must be <br />parked in the paved parking areas. <br />Park gates: the park gates will be locked according to the posted park <br />operating hours. An emergency phone and numbers are posted at the phone on <br />the porch of the park office building. Emergency exit gate access to exit <br />will be provided at check in. <br />Emergencies: contact the park ranger on duty during park hours or use the <br />emergency phone at the office. Please report any accidents to the park <br />ranger. <br />Visitors/guests: visitors or guests not staying overnight must leave the park <br />before the gates are closed. <br />Quiet time is from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please respect the rights of others <br />by keeping music and talking at a low volume. <br />Campfires are permitted in fire rings only. NO GROUND FIRES! Fires must be <br />attended by a responsible adult at all times. Extinguish completely before <br />leaving campsite. Do not throw trash in fire rings, use proper receptacles. <br />Fires must be of reasonable size and are not allowed during burning bans. No <br />cutting of Park trees permitted. <br />Damaging park property: cutting of trees, defacing buildings, tables, and <br />littering, etc. is a violation of park ordinances. <br />Fishing: all North Carolina Wildlife regulations apply. No fishing after <br />dark. Park fishing permits are required. <br />Hunting and/or trapping is not permitted. All Cabarrus County Parks are <br />wildlife and nature preserves. <br />Swimming/Wading is not permitted in any of the park's lakes or streams. <br />Firearms: no person shall possess, carry, use, or discharge any type of <br />firearm, air gun, paintball gun, or any other weapon within the park except <br />authorized law enforcement or wildlife officer. <br />Fireworks of any type are prohibited. <br />Pets must be restrained on a leash of six feet or less at all times. Pets <br />are not allowed inside the cabins or bath house at any time. Pets may not <br />
