April 19, 2010 (Regular Meeting) Page 1904 <br />requested that the terms for these three (3) members be adjusted to end April <br />30, 2013. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole and <br />unanimously carried, the Board amended the terms for Criminal Justice <br />Partnership Program (CJPP) members Revella Nesbit (Mental Health/Ex Officio), <br />Karen King (Substance Abuse) and Sally Coleman (Victim Services) to end April <br />30, 2013. <br />(H-3) Removal - Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee <br />Randall F. Peterman recently resigned his position on the Adult Care <br />Home Community Advisory Committee. Laurie Abounader, Ombudsman, requests the <br />removal of his name from the roster. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board removed Randall F. Peterman from the Adult <br />Care Home Community Advisory Committee roster. <br />(I) REPORTS <br />(I-1) Commerce - HALUP Progress Summary Report for February 2010 <br />The Board received the Harrisburg Area Plan Progress Summary Report <br />documents for February 2010 as part of the Agenda. No action was required of <br />the Board. <br />(I-2) Request for Applications for County Boards/Committees <br />Chairman White urged citizens to consider serving on a County board or <br />committee. He asked interested individuals to contact the Clerk at 704-920- <br />2100 or to go to the County's website at <br />www.cabarruscounty.us/commissioners/boardsandcommittees and view information <br />on the various County boards and committees. <br />Applications are being accepted for the following County <br />Boards/Committees: <br />• Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee <br />• Centralina Workforce Development Board <br />• Concord Planning and Zoning Commission (ET J) <br />• Criminal Justice Partnership Advisory Board <br />• Harrisburg Fire Advisory Board <br />• Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority <br />• Juvenile Crime Prevention Council <br />• Mt. Pleasant Planning Board and Board of Adjustment <br />• Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee <br />• Piedmont Area Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse <br />Authority <br />• Region F Aging Advisory Committee <br />• Tourism Authority <br />• Transportation Advisory Board <br />(J) GENERAL COMMENTS BY BOARD MEMBERS <br />Chairman White announced the county is living within its budget and <br />noted misconceptions spread by the media and public. <br />(K) WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT OF CABARRUS COUNTY <br />None. <br />(L) CLOSED SESSION <br />None. <br />(M) ADJOURN <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Chairman White and <br />unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 8:47 p.m. <br />Cler] o e Boar <br />
