June 7, 2010 (Work Session) Page 1958 <br />The Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus met for an Agenda <br />Work Session in the Multipurpose Room at the Cabarrus County Governmental <br />Center in Concord, North Carolina on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. <br />Present - Chairman: H. Jay White, Sr. <br />Vice Chairman: Elizabeth F. Poole <br />Commissioners: Robert W. Carruth <br />Grace M. Mynatt <br />Absent - Commissioners: Robert W. Carruth <br />Coy C. Privette <br />Also present were John D. Day, County Manager; Richard M. Koch, County <br />Attorney; Mike Downs, Deputy County Manager; and Kay Honeycutt, Clerk to the <br />Board. <br />Call to Order <br />Chairman White called the meeting to order at 3:32 p.m. He announced <br />Commissioner Carruth is out of town on business and Commissioner Privette is <br />absent due to illness. <br />BOC - Discussion with Midland Officials Regarding Request for Extra <br />Territorial Jurisdiction <br />Kathy Kitts, Mayor of Midland, Richard Flowe, Planning Administrator, <br />and David Pugh, Town Administrator, presented a request for Extra Territorial <br />Jurisdiction (ETJ) for the Town of Midland. In addition, the Board requested a copy of <br />information obtained during various citizen /community input meetings and <br />surveys. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole and <br />unanimously carried, the Board voted to table Discussion with Midland <br />Officials Regarding Request for Extra Territorial Jurisdiction to the July 6, <br />2010 work session. <br />Cabarrus County Tourism Authority - FY 2010/2011 Budget <br />John Mills, Vice President of Finance Cabarrus County Tourism <br />Authority, and Terry Crawford, Cabarrus County Tourism Authority Board Chair, <br />presented the Cabarrus County Tourism Authority's FY 2010/2011 Budget <br />
