June 7, 2010 (Work Session) <br />Page 1959 <br />totaling $3,371,116.00. Mr. Mills reported the Tourism Authority approved <br />the FY 2010/2011 Budget at its May 19, 2010 meeting. Comparison charts <br />ranging from FY 2007/2008 to FY 2010/2011 of revenues and expenses were also <br />reviewed. <br />Mr. Mills and Mr. Crawford responded a variety of questions from the <br />Board. <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt and <br />unanimously carried, the Board voted to place the Cabarrus County Tourism <br />Authority - FY 2010/2011 Budget on the June 21, 2010 Agenda as a Consent <br />item. <br />BOC - Senate Bill 1357 - Expand Cabarrus County Tourism Authority <br />Chairman White reported Senate Bill 1357 expands the Cabarrus County <br />Tourism Authority from nine to twelve seats and would provide three <br />nominations from the Chamber, three from the Board of Commissioners and six <br />from the Tourism board with one nomination required for each seat instead of <br />three nominations for each seat. Section 2(b) of Chapter 65$ of the 19$9 Session Laws reads as <br />23 rewritten: <br />24 "(b) Terms of Office.
