<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Access /Utility Easement
<br />Agreement between Cabarrus County and the Town of Harrisburg for the Hickory
<br />Ridge Middle School site and authorized the Chairman to execute the Agreement
<br />on behalf of the Board.
<br />(F -5) DSS - Request for Four (4) Maintenance Caseworker II Positions -
<br />$161,836.00
<br />Department of Social Services requests four (4) Income Maintenance
<br />Caseworker II positions for Economic Services due to increased caseloads,
<br />expanded eligibility standards, and increased demand for services. The Board
<br />of Social Services reviewed this request at the August, 2010, meeting and
<br />supports the proposal. The use of contingency funds is requested.

<br />(F -7) Finance - Adoption of Project Ordinance and Budget Amendment for the
<br />Board of Elections' New Facility - $2,130,000.00
<br />The Board of Commissioners voted on August 16, 2010 to purchase a
<br />building to house the Board of Elections. A Project Ordinance, totaling
<br />$2,130,000, is provided for consideration and includes monies for the
<br />purchase of the building and upfit /furnishings. Additional monies were
<br />included in the building cost to cover legal fees, property taxes, etc. that
<br />may arise during closing. Any un -used monies will be returned to the Capital
<br />Reserve Fund upon completion of the project.
