December 20, 2010 (Regular Meeting) Page 267 <br />governments, sanitary districts, and consolidated city- counties in North <br />Carolina to receive a minimum of two (2) hours of ethics education within 12 <br />months of each subsequent re- election or reappointment. <br />Commissioners Burrage and Measmer completed two (2) hours of ethics <br />training on December 8, 2010 in Asheville, North Carolina in conjunction with <br />the Essentials of County Government class provided by the School of <br />Government at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a qualified <br />source. <br />Attendance verification forms for Commissioner Burrage and Measmer are <br />on file in the office of the Clerk in accordance with N.C.G.S. 160A- 87(d). <br />(J) GENERAL COMMENTS BY BOARD MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Carruth commented on the funding for offsite inmate <br />housing and asked citizens to contact Board members or the County Manager <br />with questions. A short discussion ensued. <br />Chairman White commented on the recognition of County employees for <br />their years of service and extended citizens a Merry Christmas. <br />(K) WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT OF CABARRUS COUNTY <br />None. <br />(L) CLOSED SESSION <br />(L -1) Closed Session - To Discuss Threatened or Pending Litigation <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Vice Chairman Poole <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into closed session to discuss <br />threatened or pending litigation as authorized by N.C.G.S. 143- 318.11(1)(3). <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to come out of closed session. <br />(M) ADJOURN <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Poole, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m. <br />Ka rA to the Board <br />
