February 16, 2009 (Regular Meeting) Page 1264 (H-5) Appointments - Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee An application for appointment to the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee has been received from Ms. Geraldine J. Maxwell. Currently, there are eight vacant positions on this Board despite numerous outreach efforts. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Vice Chairman Mynatt and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Ms. Geraldine J. Maxwell to the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee for a one-year term ending February 28, 2010. (I) REPORTS (I-1) Reoueat for Applications for County Boards/Committees Chairman White stated the County has a need for volunteers to serve on the following committees: • Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee • Agriculture Advisory Board • Animal Preservation and Protection Advisory Committee • Board of Equalization and Review • Cabarrus Planning and Zoning Commission • Concord Planning and Zoning Commission • Criminal Justice Partnership Advisory Board • Harrisburg Fire Advisory Board • Harrisburg Planning and Zoning Board • Home and Community Care Block Grant Advisory Committee • Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority • Jury Commission • Juvenile Crime Prevention Council • Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee • Parks Commission • Region F Aging Advisory Committee • Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Board of Trustees • Transportation Advisory Board Chairman White urged all Cabarrus County citizens to consider serving on a County Board or Committee.
