Ms. Crump has indicated a willingness to be reappointed, <br />should the Board choose to do so. There are other applications on file. <br />If Ms. Crump is reappointed, an exception to the "length of service" <br />provision of the Appointment Policy will be needed. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Chairman White and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Ms. Phyllis Crump to serve on the <br />Jury Commission for a two-year term ending June 30, 2011, including an <br />exception to the "length of service" provision of the Appointment Policy. <br />(H-7) Rowan Cabarrus Community College Board of Trustees <br />Ray Paradowski, Chairman of the Rowan Cabarrus Community College (RCCC) <br />Board of Trustees, and Carol Spalding, President of RCCC, request the <br />reappointment of Mr. Irvin Newberry and Ms. Cynthia Mynatt to the RCCC Board <br />of Trustees for four-year terms ending June 30, 2013. There are several <br />other applications on file. If Mr. Newberry is reappointed, an exception to <br />the "length of service" provision of the appointment policy will be needed. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Ms. Cynthia Mynatt and Mr. <br />Irvin Newberry to the Rowan Cabarrus Community College Board of Trustees for <br />four-year terms ending June 30, 2013, including an exception to the "length <br />of service" provision of the Appointment Policy. <br />(I) REPORTS <br />(I-1) Request for Applications for County Boards/Committees <br />Chairman White announced applications are being accepted for the <br />following County Boards/Committees: <br />• Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee <br />• Animal Preservation and Protection Advisory Committee <br />• Cabarrus Planning and Zoning Commission <br />• Centralina Workforce Development Board <br />• Concord Planning and Commission (ETJ) <br />• Criminal Justice Partnership Advisory Board <br />• Harrisburg Fire Advisory Board <br />• Harrisburg Planning and Zoning Commission (ETJ) <br />• Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority <br />• Jury Commission <br />• Juvenile Crime Prevention Council <br />• Library Board of Trustees <br />• Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee <br />• Public Health Authority of Cabarrus County <br />• Region F Aging Advisory Committee <br />• Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Board of Trustees <br />• Social Services Board (Appointed by the Social Services Board) <br />• Tourism Authority <br />• Transportation Advisory Board <br />Kay Honeycutt, Clerk to the Board, announced maps of the ETJ areas for <br />Harrisburg and Concord have been included in the packet and posted on the <br />County website so that citizens can find out upfront if they live in the <br />designated area for these two committees. <br />(J) GENERAL COhS~NTS BY BOARD MEMBERS <br />Chairman White stated he attended graduation at the Cabarrus Arena & <br />Events Center. He commended the school and staff at the Arena for managing <br />such a large event. <br />Vice Chairman Mynatt announced that the Ben Mynatt Chevrolet franchise <br />has been withdrawn by General Motors. She asked to keep the employees of Ben <br />Mynatt Chevrolet in thought. <br />(K) WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT OF CABARRUS COUNTY <br />None. <br />
