The County Manager may execute contracts with outside agencies <br />to properly document budgeted appropriations to such agencies <br />where G.S. 153 A-298(b), 259, 999 and any similar statutes <br />require such contracts. <br />19. The County Manager may reject formal bids when deemed <br />appropriate and in the best interest of Cabarrus County pursuant <br />to G.S. 193-129(a). <br />C. Changes to Cabarrus County fees and charges as presented in budget <br />workshops will be effective July 1, 2009 and incorporated into the <br />appropriate fee schedules. <br />Section IV. <br />This ordinance and the budget documents shall be the basis for the <br />financial plan for the County of Cabarrus for the 2009-2010 fiscal <br />year. The County Manager and the Budget Officer shall administer the <br />budget. This schedule governs the retention and <br />disposition of public records at the Sheriff's Department. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the November 10, 2008 Records <br />Retention and Disposition Schedule for the County Sheriff's Office as issued <br />by the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources, Division of <br />Historical Resources, Archives and Records Section, Government Records <br />Branch, and authorized the Chairman and Sheriff to execute the schedule on <br />behalf of the Board. <br />COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />Records Retention <br />And Disposition Schedule <br />The records retention and disposition schedule and retention periods <br />governing the records series listed herein are hereby approved. In <br />accordance with the provision of Chapter 121 and 132 of the General Statutes <br />of North Carolina, it is agreed that the records do not and will not have <br />further use or value for official business, research, or reference purposes <br />after the respective retention periods specified herein and are authorized to <br />be destroyed or otherwise disposed of by the agency or official having <br />custody of them without further reference to or approval of either party to <br />this agreement. It is further agreed that these records may not be destroyed <br />prior to the time periods stated; however, for sufficient reason they may be <br />retained for longer periods.
