Jay White, Sr., Chairman <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />ATTEST: <br />/s/ Kav Honeycutt <br />Kay Honeycutt, Clerk to the Board <br />Chairman White opened the public hearing at 7:20 p.m. The Public <br />Hearing Notice was published on October 28, 2009 and November 4, 2009 in THE <br />INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE. The Public Hearing Notice was also posted on the <br />County's website (www.cabarruscounty.us) on November 5, 2009 in accordance <br />with Article 2, Administration, Section 2.1 (Use of Electronic Means to <br />Provide Public Notices) of the Cabarrus county Code of Ordinances. <br />There was no one present to address the Board; therefore, Chairman <br />White closed the public hearing. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Ordinance (TEXT2009- <br />0008) amending the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance: <br />Ordinance No. 2009-19 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARRUS COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE <br />TEXT2009-00008 <br />BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance is hereby <br />amended as follows: <br />Amend Chapter 5 as follows: <br />DELETE current Chapter 5 text (all) <br />ADD new Chapter 5 text (all) <br />Amend Appendix B as follows: <br />DELETE current Appendix B (all) <br />ADD new Appendix B <br />Adopted this the 16`" day of November 2009 by the Cabarrus County Board <br />of Commissioners. <br />/s/ H. Jay White, Sr., Chairman <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />Pam Dubois, Deputy County Manager, requested a public hearing be held <br />for the Kannapolis City Schools' project (roof completion and replacement of <br />HVAC equipment). She reported QSCB'S are selling with a .OS percent coupon; <br />however, the County's requirement is zero percent interest. As such, she <br />advised the County is not prepared to go to market and the application will <br />be presented for Board approval at a later date. <br />Chairman White questioned whether holding a public hearing will <br />obligate the County in any way. Ms. Dubois responded in the negative and <br />Susie Morris, Planning and Zoning Manager, reviewed the proposed <br />changes to Chapter 5, District Development Standards and Appendix B, <br />Commercial Design Standards of the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance as <br />identified in Text Amendment No. TEXT2009-00008. <br />ATTEST: <br />/s/ Kav Honeycutt <br />Kay Honeycutt, Clerk to the Board <br />
