March 24, 2008 (Regular Meeting) Page 768 UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Marvin L. Bost, Jerry W. Pless and Louis Suther to the Cabarrus County Agricultural Advisory Board for three-year terms ending January 31, 2011. (H-3) Board of Equalization and Review Lester Shelton recently resigned from the Board of Equalization and Review. The Tax Administrator recommended David McClellan (alternate) be appointed to complete Mr. Shelton's unexpired term. Subsequently, an appointment is needed to fill Mr. McClellan's unexpired term as an alternate. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette and unanimously carried, the Board appointed David McClellan to the Board of Equalization and Review as a regular member to complete an unexpired term ending June 30, 2008 and appointed Ronald Page as an alternate to complete McClellan's unexpired term ending June 30, 2008. By the same vote, the Board reappointed David McClellan and Ronald Page for an additional three-year terms ending June 30, 2011. (H-4) Park Commission UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Howard Hurlocker (Eastern) and James Guess (Concord) to the Park Commission for three-year terms ending January 31, 2011. By the same vote, the Board appointed Scott Aldrich (Kannapolis) to the Park Commission to complete an unexpired term ending January 31, 2011. (H-5) Central Area Land Uae Plan Advisory Committee Chairman White reported appointments are needed for the Central Area Land Use Plan Advisory Committee. He recommended Commissioners Carruth and Mynatt serve on a committee to select recommendations for appointments to the Central Area Land Use Plan Advisory Committee. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Juba and unanimously carried, the Board delegated authority to a committee consisting of Commissioners Carruth and Mynatt, to appoint members to the Central Area Land Use Plan Advisory Committee. Commissioner Carruth requested nominations be submitted by Thursday, March 27, 2008. Susie Morris, Planning and Zoning Manager, reviewed the Committee's scheduled meeting dates beginning April 1, 2008 through May 22, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. She said the final meeting with elected officials is scheduled for May 29, 2008 and asked to have the committee members appointed as soon as possible. There was a brief discussion related to the list of potential committee members and open meetings requirements. Chairman White asked if there are any objections to the names on the list; there were none. (I) REPORTS None. GENERAL COMMENTS BY BOARD MEMBERS None.
