March 24, 2008 (Regular Meeting) <br />Page 769 <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Closed Session to discuss <br />matters relating to the location or expansion of industries or other <br />businesses in the area served by the public body (Speedway Motorsports, Inc.) <br />and to consult with the County Attorney to preserve the attorney-client <br />privilege and to discuss threatened or pending litigation (Wellington Chase) <br />as authorized by NCGS 143.318.11(a)(3). Further, the Board invited Jonathan <br />Marshall, Commerce Director, or Susie Morris, Planning and Zoning Manager, to <br />attend the Closed Session as it relates to Wellington Chase. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Vice Chairman Juba and <br />unanimously carried, the Board voted to come out of Closed Session at 9:95 <br />p.m. <br />(M) ADJOURN <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Juba <br />and unanimously carried, the meeting was adjourned at 9:96 p.m. <br />Clerk to t e Bo <br />
