The following issues were addressed: <br />sales tax revenue; the affect of a down-turning economy on the budget, <br />housing market and school capital needs; the cost associated with delaying <br />construction of the jail housing unit; phase-out of Medicaid costs; Article <br />99 Sales Tax; fuel costs; etc. <br />Dr. Barry Shepherd, Superintendent ofCabarrus County Schools, thanked <br />the Board for its consideration of their requests and for the cooperation of <br />the County staff in working with the school system to provide funds for needs <br />of a growing school system. <br />Marlon X LLC Apartment Complex <br />In response to a request to negotiate the Voluntary Mitigation Payment <br />for the Marlon X, LLC Apartment Complex, Chairman White announced that a <br />letter had been drafted and sent to Board members to review. He asked if <br />changes were needed. There were no changes or comments noted from the Board. <br />Adjourn <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adjourned the meeting at 11:38 a.m. <br />Deputy Clerk , <br />
