May 5, 2008 (Work Session) Page 819 <br />• Parks Commission <br />• Water & Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County <br />• Others to be Determined <br />Reports: None. <br />Closed Session: If needed. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Vice Chairman Juba and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the aforementioned list of additional <br />items for the May 19, 2006 Agenda as presented. <br />Update - County Government Week <br />Chairman White reported County Government Week is the week of May 12 - <br />15, 2006. He stated events were being held in the surrounding municipalities <br />of Midland, Mt. Pleasant and Harrisburg from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to promote <br />services provided by the County as well as making citizens more aware of <br />Channel 22 and their role in County Government. He encouraged Board members <br />to attend. <br />Announcement of Future Meetings <br />Chairman White reminded the Board that budget meetings are scheduled <br />for May 22 and 27, 2008 in the Multipurpose Room at 3:30 p.m. If additional <br />budget sessions are needed, he said the meetings will be held on June 4 and <br />5, 2008 in the Multipurpose Room at 3:30 p.m. He also announced County <br />Assembly Day will be held on June 10, 2008. <br />General Discussion <br />In response to questions from the Board, Chairman White, County Manager <br />John Day and County Attorney Rich Koch responded to questions related to: the <br />proposed sales tax increase; legislative agenda; and The Villages at Red <br />Bridge project, etc. <br />Adjournment <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 5:18 p.m. <br />Clerk to e B r <br />
