June 16, 2008 (Regular Meeting) Page 860 <br />This joint venture between Cabarrus County and the State, coordinated <br />through the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, provides a variety of <br />community based services for children at risk for behavioral problems. Of <br />the $517,832.00 program total, the Department of Juvenile Justice and <br />Delinquency Prevention (DJJDP) funding of $313,345.00 is processed through <br />the County's books for distribution to the various programs. The County is <br />making a cash match of $9,000.00 for the ALPHA (Genesis) program. These <br />funds ($322,345.00) have been budgeted for FY 2009. <br />CABARRUS <br />I. By using this application, the Department will see improved <br />communication between reception and case workers, shorter lines in the lobby, <br />and more processes that are able to be standardized, which will yield many <br />needed efficiencies. <br />The Notice "Awarding a Contract to Northwoods Consulting Partners Znc. <br />for Compass Appointment Management Solution by Piggybacking a Bid Previously <br />Awarded by Cleveland County, North Carolina" was published on the County's <br />website on May 29, 2008. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the piggyback purchase from <br />Cleveland County (May 2008) for Compass Appointments Software contract in the <br />amount of $236,793.10 and authorized the County Manager to execute the <br />contract, subject to review and/or revision by the County Attorney.
