July 7, 2008 (Work Session) <br />General Comments by Board Members <br />Page 899 <br />Chairman White announced that Ms. Lori Hinson, Deputy Clerk to <br />the Board, will be taking a position with Veterans Services and Ms. <br />Lyndsay Hayes will fill the position of Deputy Clerk to the Board <br />beginning July 21, 2008. <br />Commissioner Carruth reported the he and Chairman White will be <br />meeting with the Midland Town Council on July 8, 2008 concerning the <br />Old Bethel School. Chairman White stated the Council will be voting on <br />a response to the County's proposal related to the school at their next <br />scheduled meeting. <br />In response to a question by Commissioner Privette, a brief <br />discussion ensued regarding the incentive agreement with Speedway <br />Motorsports Incorporated and the City of Concord. <br />Adjournment <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Vice Chairman <br />Juba and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 5:14 p.m. <br />Clerk to the rd <br />
