September 22, 2008 (Regular Meeting) Page 969 <br />WINECOFF F/D $0.00 <br />(F-20) Tourism Authority - Bud et Amendment (Appropriation of $155 000.00) <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following budget amendment: <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br />DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM AUTHORITY FUND <br />AMOUNT: $155,000.00 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Transfer of Tourism Fund, fund balance to CVB for cash <br />flow purposes as authorized by the Board of County Commissioners on August <br />18, 2008. <br /> Present <br />Account No. Approved Budqet Increase Decrease Revised Budqet <br />53163110-6901 $459,605.00 $155,000.00 $609,605.00 <br />Fund Bal Appropriate <br />53193110-9799 $954,605.00 $155,000.00 $609,605.00 <br />Contrib to CVB <br />(F-21) Transportation Department - Hudaet Amendment (Medicaid Transports - <br />$100,000.00) <br />Cabarrus County Transportation Service (CCTS) ridership exceeds our <br />current capacity, which is being handled through a waitlist and client <br />rescheduling. One DSS Medicaid program requires that transportation be <br />provided to the client; therefore, to meet this requirement, cab service will <br />be used to supplement our normal trips when CCTS cannot accommodate this type <br />of client due to prior reservations. Reimbursem ent from Medicaid revenues. <br /> Present <br />Account No. Approved Budqet Increase Decrease Revised Budqet <br />00195290-9972-DS19 $90,000.00 $100,000.00 $190,000.00 <br />Trans DS 19 <br />00165240-6699 $350,000.00 $100,000.00 $450,000.00 <br />Medicaid <br />(G) NEW BUSINESS <br />(G-1) Transportation Department - Public Hearin for FY OS-09 ROAP Grant <br />Randy Bass, Transportation Director, reported a Rural Operating <br />Assistance Program (ROAP) grant request will be submitted to the N.C. <br />Department of Transportation, which includes funding for the following <br />programs: $121,697.00 for the Elderly and Disabled Transportation Assistance <br />program (EDTAP); $17,916.00 for Work First Funding and $86,107.00 for the <br />Rural General Assistance Program (RGP). He stated a public hearing is <br />required. <br />At 6:47 p.m., Chairman White opened the public hearing for the FY OB-09 <br />ROAP Grant Application. The Public Hearing Notice was published on September <br />5, 2008 in THE INDEPENDENT TRIBUNE. <br />There was no one present to address the Board; therefore, Chairman <br />White closed the public hearing. <br />No further action was taken by the Board. <br />(G-2) Commerce Department - Reservation of Capacity Certificate - Wellaprin <br />Village Project <br />
