awarded previously by Rockingham County, North Carolina. The purchase price
per unit will be $102,000.00 each (a savings of $17,000.00 per unit below
Rockingham County's awarded cost). The purchase of two new ambulances plus
one remount was approved in the Fiscal Year 2009 budget. A budget amendment
is included to request appropriation of fund balance of $36,776.00 - received
June 9, 2008 from insurance funds for a wrecked ambulance. Because of the
wrecked vehicle and receipt of the insurance funds, the funds for the remount
budgeted will be added to the insurance funds to purchase a new vehicle
instead of having one remounted. The total purchase cost for three new Type
III ambulances is $306,000.00.
