November 17, 2008 (Regular Meeting) <br />Page 1044 <br />requested. The $1,000,000.00 Technology transfer was approved by the <br />Cabarrus County Board of Education at the time their FY09 Budget was adopted <br />and the application was signed by the Cabarrus County Schools Chair on <br />October 1, 2008. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Public School Building <br />Capital Fund Application for Technology and authorized the Cabarrus County <br />Board of Commissioners' Chair to sign the application. <br />(F-6) Parka - Hudaet Amendment (Carolina Thread Trail Graenway Master Plan - <br />$65,000.00) <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following budget amendment: <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br />DEPARTMENT OF PARKS <br />AMOUNT: $65,000.00 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: This budget amendment is to appropriate funds in the <br />amount of $65,000.00 for the Carolina Thread Trail Greenway Master Plan. <br />Grant funds to be received are $60,000.00 for the design and development of <br />the plan from the Carolina Thread Trail Regional Office. There is an <br />agreement with local municipalities to fund a $5,000.00 match. It is recommended to piggyback <br />the City of Kannapolis' bid awarded in September 2008 to Hilbish Motor <br />Company, Inc. pursuant to North Carolina G.S. 193-129.
