January 8, 2007 (Work Session) <br />Page 221 <br />Chairman Carruth asked Board members to compile a list of four or five <br />items they would like to have accomplished within the next two years. <br />Legislative Goals <br />Vice Chairman Juba asked Board members to review the Legislative Goals <br />that were previously provided and to discuss them with Commissioner Privette, <br />the Board's voting delegate, before January 11, 2007. <br />Notification Procedures for Mass Rezonings <br />Jonathan Marshall, Commerce Director, commented on the notification <br />procedure used for mass rezonings. He reported the local newspaper is used <br />to notify residents within its circulation district, a letter is sent to any <br />property owner with an out-of-town zip code and the mailing addresses are <br />obtained from tax abstracts. He also pointed out that an out-of-town <br />property owner that lists a local contact address on the tax abstract would <br />be covered by the newspaper ad. <br />Recess of Meeting <br />With there being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman <br />Carruth recessed the meeting at 6:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January <br />19, 2007 at Camp T.
