May 22, 2007 (Recessed Meeting) <br />Page 382 <br />Debbie Bost, Cooperative Extension Director, reviewed the creation of <br />the 4-H SOS (Support Our Students) Program and presented a request to <br />discontinue the program due to lack of interest from the community. <br />Mike Downs, Deputy County Manager, reported one full-time position <br />would be eliminated if this program is terminated. <br />Don Cummings, Human Resource Director, reported on the provisions in <br />the Personnel Ordinance that would apply to the displaced employee. <br />County staff responded to a variety of questions on the grant program. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt and <br />unanimously carried, the Board terminated the SOS After-School Grant Program <br />as requested. <br />Reaeae of Meeting <br />With there being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman <br />Carruth recessed the meeting at 7:21 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May <br />23, 2007 in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental Center. <br />Cler o th Bo rd <br />
