July 23, 2007 (Regular Meeting) Page 993 <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />- Harris Road Middle School's 5°i Place Finish in the 2007 <br />The Board recognized the Harris Road Middle School's Odyssey of the <br />Mind Team for their 5`" place finish in the 2007 North Carolina Odyssey of the <br />Mind World Finals. The Board also presented the following proclamation to <br />each team member as well as a County lapel pin: <br />Proclamation No. 2007-06 <br />PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS Excellence in education is recognized by the Board as an <br />important foundation to Cabarrus County's future economic stability, and; <br />WHEREAS A team of students from Harris Road Middle School dedicated <br />personal time to compete in the Odyssey of the Mind Competition and advanced <br />to the 2007 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals, and; <br />WHEREAS The Harris Road Middle School team was comprised of Robert <br />Baker, Rachel Coats, Kyle Conroy, Keri Roe, Rachel Schmitt, Addison White, <br />and Coach/Advisor Mrs. Darci White, and; <br />WHEREAS The Harris Road Middle School team placed 5t" in the <br />competition; <br />NOW THEREFORE <br />recognize Harris Road <br />residents of Cabarrus <br />done. <br />The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners does hereby <br />Middle School's Odyssey of the Mind team and asks the <br />County to join us in commending them for a job well <br />This the 23`d day of July, 2007. <br />/s/ Robert W. Carruth, Chairman <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br />Pleasant Lion'; <br />World <br />ih in the 2007 <br />The Board recognized a team of students from the Cannon School, Mount <br />Pleasant High School and Central Cabarrus High School sponsored by the Mount <br />Pleasant Lion's Club, for their 6`" place in the 2007 Odyssey of the Mind <br />World Finals Competition.
