Dr. Winkler and Mr. Day responded to <br />questions from both Boards which included the possibility of adding female <br />members to the committee; why a general contractor was not listed; and the <br />need for a current principal/administrator (multi-level educator) as a <br />member. The following suggestions were made: adding an architect; a female <br />engineer (if possible); and a commercial contractor. The following names <br />were submitted as possible Committee members: Jessie Blackwelder, Donna <br />Craft of NorthEast Medical Center, Dari Caldwell and Rick Price. <br />There was a general consensus by both Boards to make additional <br />contacts for possible committee members and to move forward with the Blue <br />Ribbon Committee. Dr. Winkler and Mr. Day agreed to make further contacts <br />and report back to the Boards. No date was set for the next committee <br />meeting. <br />On a separate note, Commissioners White and Mynatt expressed <br />appreciation to the School Board for the following beautiful new school <br />facilities: Furr Elementary and Mt. Pleasant Middle Schools. Chairman Poole <br />invited the Board of Commissioners to Open House events to be heldat each of <br />the new schools.
