September 17, 2007 (Regular Meeting) Page 558 <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mynatt, seconded by Commissioner White and <br />unanimously carried, the Board closed the floor on nominations for the at- <br />large position. <br />Vice Chairman Juba and Commissioners Mynatt and White voted for Larry <br />Ensley. Chairman Carruth and Commissioner Privette voted for Armistead (Gene) <br />Divine. Therefore, Larry Ensley was appointed to the Cabarrus County <br />Planning and Zoning Commission to complete an unexpired term ending August <br />31, 2009. <br />The Board agreed to appoint a new at-large alternate to the Cabarrus <br />Planning and Zoning Commission at the October meeting. <br />(H-2) Criminal Justice Partnership Program Advisory Board <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed James Foster, Anna Hood, and <br />Marie Stegall to the Criminal Justice Partnership Program Advisory Board for <br />three-year terms ending April 30, 2010. <br />(H-3) Juvenile Crime Prevention Council <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner White <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed the following individuals to the <br />Juvenile Crime Prevention Council for one-year terms ending September 30, <br />2008: Susan Burns (School Superintendent Designee), John Wilson (Sheriff's <br />Designee), Scott Stoker (Chief Court Counselor Designee), Revella Nesbit <br />(Area Mental Health Director Designee), Randy Daniels (Parks & Recreation), <br />Felicia Wilson (County Commissioner Appointee, at-large member) and Angela <br />Ward (County Commissioner Appointee, at-large member). <br />By the same vote, the Board reappointed the following individuals to <br />the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council for two-year terms ending September 30, <br />2009: Terry Triplett (Police Chief Designee), Jane Cauthen (DSS Director <br />Designee), Loretta Lee (County Manager Designee), Aaron Wells (Member of <br />Faith Community), Farrell Haynie (Student < 18), Anna Mann (Student < 18), <br />Sam Leder (Business Community), Erin Shoe (Local Health Director Designee), <br />Troy Barnhardt (County Commissioner Appointee, at-large) Terri Stancil <br />(County Commissioner Appointee, at-large) and Debbie Bost (County. <br />Commissioner Appointee, at-large). <br />(H-4) Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed Shirley Vellente and Bel Ray to <br />the Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee for 1-year terms ending August <br />31, 2008. <br />(H-5) Piedmont Area Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse <br />Authority <br />Chairman Carruth announced Marlynn Burns recently resigned from the <br />Piedmont Area Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse <br />Authority. - <br />UPON MOTION of Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Mynatt and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Betty Babb to the Piedmont Area <br />Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Authority to complete <br />an unexpired term ending June 30, 2010. <br />(H-6) Recion F Aging Advisory Board <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Vicki Harris Proctor as an <br />alternate to the Region E Aging Advisory Board for a 1-year term ending June <br />30, 2008. <br />(H-7) Board Appointments - Liaisons to Municipal Boards <br />Chairman Carruth reported the last appointments of liaisons to <br />municipal boards were made in January 2005 and that liaisons to the <br />Harrisburg Town Council and the Mt. Pleasant Board of Commissioners are <br />needed. <br />Chairman Carruth asked Commissioner White to serve as the liaison to <br />the Harrisburg Town Council and for Commissioner Mynatt to serve as the <br />
