<br />February 20, 2006 - Regular Meeting <br /> <br />Page <br /> <br />509 <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Freeman <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the report for 2005 outstanding <br />delinquent taxes on real estate and the lien advertisement date of March 26, <br />206. Further, the Board adopted the following Order to the Tax Administrator. <br /> <br />ORDER OF THE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />IN ACCORDANCE WITH G.S. 105-369 <br /> <br />State of North Carolina <br />County of Cabarrus <br /> <br />TO: J. Brent Weisner, Tax Administrator of Cabarrus County <br /> <br />You are hereby authorized, empowered and commanded to advertise <br />tax liens on real property for failure to pay 2005 taxes. You <br />shall advertise said liens by posting a notice of the liens at <br />the county courthouse and by publishing each lien at least one <br />time in one or more newspapers having general circulation in the <br />taxing unit. <br />Advertisement of the tax liens shall be made on Sunday, March 26, <br />2006. <br /> <br />This order shall be a full and sufficient authority to direct, <br />require, and enable you to advertise said tax liens in accordance <br />with North Carolina General Statue 105-369. <br /> <br />Witness my hand and official seal, this 20th day of February <br />2006. <br /> <br />Attest: <br />/s/ Frankie F. General Assembly approved an increase in the <br />amount of State Aid to Public Libraries for FY2006. The increase for the <br />Cabarrus County Public Library is $17,012.00. The Library wishes to use <br />these funds to purchase a Materials Security System for the Harrisburg <br />Library. This system is similar to those currently installed in the Concord <br />
