New <br />subdivision addresses are currently assigned within 10 business days of <br />receipt of a final plat by the Planning Department. Citizens need timely <br />address assignments to apply for permits and establish services. Addresses <br />are necessary for houses, commercial buildings, office buildings, <br />construction trailers, meter, cell towers, etc. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Freeman <br />and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the addition of a new position <br />(#1810020) to handle addressing with the use of Landline 911 funds and the <br />appropriate budget revision. <br /> <br />(F-8) Non-Emergency Transportation/EMS - Purchase of "Remount" Ambulance and <br />Associated Budget Amendment <br /> <br />The ambulance currently in service for the Non-Emergency Transportation <br />Program has become a maintenance and a safety problem. The purchase cost of <br />a "remount" ambulance is $55,000.00. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Freeman <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the purchase of the "remount" <br />ambulance and associated budget amendment. <br /> <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES <br />AMOUNT: $55,000.00 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: For the purchase of a remount ambulance for Non-Emergency <br />Transportation. $31,750 of the purchase was obtained from the sale of <br />transportation vans which require that funds are placed back into the <br />program. An additional $23,250 was needed to complete the purchase. <br />
