Public School Facility <br /> <br />At the Work Session on April 3, Will Crabtree, Director of Business <br />Operations with the Kannapolis City Schools, presented the N.C. Public School <br />Facility Needs Survey totaling $26,642,332.00. The survey listed all <br />improvements and additional facilities needed to accommodate projected <br />enrollments through the 2014-15 school year and improvements to existing <br />facilities to provide safe, comfortable environments that support educational <br />programs. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded <br />Privette and unanimously carried, the Board authorized <br />execute the N.C. Public School Facility Needs Survey dated <br />for Kannapolis City Schools. <br /> <br />by Commissioner <br />the Chairman to <br />January 18, 2006 <br /> <br />(F-9) Emergency Medical Services <br />Budget Amendment <br /> <br />2005-2006 HRSA Bioterrorism Grant <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded <br />Privette and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the <br />amendment: <br /> <br />by Commissioner <br />following budget <br /> <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY SERVICES <br />AMOUNT: $20,043.00 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: This budget amendment is to appropriate funds for the <br />2005-2006 HRSA Bioterrorism Grant to be received from the NC DHHS-Office of <br />Emergency Medical Services. This is a 100% reimbursement grant and no county <br />funds will be needed for implementation. Funds will be used to purchase <br />equipment for patient tracking, communication with other agencies, personal <br />protective equipment, and various other items to be used in the case of a <br />structural collapse or water rescue.
