April 17, 2006 - Regular Meeting

Page

572

Ordinance No. 2006-03

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CABARRUS COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE

BE IT ORDAINED that the Cabarrus County Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended as
follows:

Add the following to Chapter 2, Section 2-2.
Definitions:

Basic Terms and

Lot Width, Average - Measurement of average lot width shall be on
an individual basis, not over several lots. For a regularly shaped
lot (basically rectangular), two measurements shall be taken; at
the front lot line (street frontage) and the rear lot line. The
arithmetic mean lot size shall be used to determine average lot
width. When a lot has multiple street frontages, the required lot
width shall be measured along the narrowest street lot line (street
frontage) .

Irregularly shaped lots shall be measured three times, with the
arithmetic mean taken from those measurements. Measurement points
will be determined on a case by case basis, but shall be roughly at
the front, rear, and middle points of the lot.

Adopted this the 17th day of April, 2006 by the Cabarrus County Board of
Commissioners.

ATTEST:
/s/ Frankie F.
