<br />(F-14) Purchase of Right-of-Way from Roberta united Methodist Church for
<br />pitts Elementary School and Adoption of Budget Amendment
<br />
<br />The Cabarrus County School System has reached a settlement with Roberta
<br />United Methodist Church on the price for the purchase of a right-of-way for
<br />pitts Elementary School. It is requested that the Board approve this
<br />settlement and provide additional funding in the amount of $17,543.50 for the
<br />total settlement price of $22,456.50.

<br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Juba, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the purchase of a right-af-way
<br />form Roberta United Methodist Church in the amount of $17,543.50 ($4,913.00
<br />previously funded for this purchase) for Cabarrus County Schools Pitts
<br />Elementary School and adopted the following budget amendment:

<br />Schedule a Public Hearing for August 21, 2006 at 6:30 p.m.
<br />

<br />Ryan McDaniels, Director of Cabarrus Economic Development Corporation
<br />(EDC) , requested a public hearing be scheduled as soon as possible to
<br />consider an Industrial Development Incentive Grant for Connextions Health,
<br />roc. He said the company is currently working on a lease arrangement to
<br />locate a call center in Concord and wants to begin the hiring process soon.
<br />He suggested the public hearing be set for July 24, 2006. In addition, Mr.
<br />McDaniels requested a public hearing be held on July 24 for an Industrial
<br />Development Incentive Grant for Double 0 Plastics, Inc.
