This waterline will ensure that the volume and pressure of water needed to support this project will be available when needed. The City of Concord will design a portion of this waterline and will participate in the cost of installation. Mr. Downs further reported the retaining wall and the waterline design are outside the scope of the current contract with Ware Bonsall Architects. He stated contract amendment No. 9 totaling $28,200.00 is necessary to proceed with the design phase of these two projects. UPON MOTION of Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Freeman and unanimously carried, the Board approved amendment No. 9 ($28,200.00) to the contract with Ware Bonsall Architects for design services for the Law Enforcement Center and authorized the County Manager to execute the contract, subject to review and revision by the County Attorney. Further, the Board adopted the following budget amendments: BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE CENTER CONSTRUCTION FUND AMOUNT: $28,200.00 TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request PURPOSE OF REQUEST: To appropriate funds for Amendment No.9, Ware Bonsall for the waterline extension and extension of retaining wall for 110 feet on the west side of housing building. The funds will be transferred from the Capital Reserve Fund to cover this additional cost. The State is accepting comments on the Interbasin Transfer (IBT) through the end of July.
