<br />August 21, 2006 (Regular Meeting) <br /> <br />Page 71 <br /> <br />facsimile signature as the signature of the Agent (s) regardless of by <br />whom or by what means the facsimile signature may have been affixed so <br />long as it resembles the facsimile signature specimen on file. The <br />Corporation authorizes each Agent to have custody of the Corporation's <br />private key used to create a digital signature and to request issuance of <br />a certificate listing the corresponding public key. The Financial <br />Institution shall have no responsibility or liability for unauthorized <br />use of alternative Signature and verification codes unless otherwise in <br />writing. <br /> <br />(F-22) Department of Commerce - Amendment to Construction Standards Fee <br />Schedule A - "New Construction" <br /> <br />The State requires building inspections for some existing facilities <br />prior to the issuance of a license. There is currently a $100.00 fee for the <br />inspection of daycare, group care and foster care homes. This proposal is to <br />expand that fee to include any existing facility requiring inspection for the <br />State license or permit. An example of the type of facility that would be <br />affected is any restaurant or store requesting an ABC permit. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Vice Chairman Juba <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the following amendment to <br />Schedule A - "New Construction" of the Construction Standards Fee Schedule as <br />follows: <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS <br />FEE SCHEDULES <br />EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2004 <br /> <br />SCHEDULE A - NEW CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />General <br /> <br />Value of Construction <br />o - $15,000 <br />15,001 - 25,000 <br />25,001 - 40,000 <br />40,001 - 50,000 <br /> <br />Permit Fee <br /> <br />$ 75.00 <br />113.00 <br />176.00 <br />218.00 <br /> <br />Estimated construction cost above $50,000 will be charged an additional $3.00 <br />per additional $1,000.00 building value. <br /> <br />*Estimated cost for residential construction will be based on the total cost <br />of construction or $55.00 per square foot of heated space and $25.00 per <br />square foot of unheated space whichever is greater. A $10.00 surcharge will <br />be added to these permits as required by the "Homeowners Recovery Fund". <br /> <br />Other new construction fees: <br /> <br />Mobile Horne $100.00 <br />Doycore/Croup Core/Footer Core Home Inopection <br />Existing Facility Inspection $100.00 <br />(This fee is charged to any facility requesting an inspection for local, <br />state or other licensure) . <br />Temporary Construction Trailer Permit $100.00 <br />Replacement Building Permit Cards $ 3.00 <br /> <br />PLAN REVIEW AND GENERAL POLICY <br /> <br />Plan Review - $50.00 base fee plus .03/square foot <br /> <br />Callback Fee - A $50.00 callback fee will be charged for re-inspection for <br />any return trip to a site due to owner, contractor or sub-contractor being <br />unprepared for the original inspection. <br /> <br />(F-23) <br /> <br />Cabarrus Community Care Plan - Renewal Contract <br /> <br />The contract with the Cabarrus Community Care Plan to provide <br />coordination of a program for health benefits to the uninsured prior to their <br />Medicaid eligibility in Cabarrus County is subj ect to annual renewal. The <br />County's contribution for this agreement will be $100,000.00 for Fiscal Year <br />2007. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Vice Chairman Juba <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the renewal contract between <br />
