There are <br />currently 11 vacancies on the committee. <br />UPON MOTION of Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette, the <br />Board approved an exception to the length of service provision of the <br />Appointment Policy and reappointed Gail Hall to the Adult Care Home Community <br />Advisory Committee for a 3-year term ending August 31, 2009. <br />(H-2) Animal Protection & Preservation Advisory Committee (APPAL) <br />The term of appointment for Karin Britt ended June 30, 2006. Ms. Britt <br />is willing to serve another term. The At-Large position formerly held by <br />Lora Burrage is vacant due to her resignation from the Committee. The APPAL <br />unanimously recommends the reappointment of Karin Britt for a 1-year term <br />ending June 30, 2007 and the appointment of Donna Rogers for a 1-year term <br />ending June 30, 2007 to fill the vacant at-large position. <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Chairman Carruth and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Karin Britt to the Animal <br />Protection & Preservation Advisory Committee for a 1-year term ending June <br />30, 2007. Further, the Board appointed Donna Rogers for a 1-year term ending <br />June 30, 2007 to fill a vacant at-large position. <br />(I) REPORTS <br />(None.) <br />(J) GENERAL COMMENTS BY BOARD MEMBERS <br />Commissioner Privette questioned the status of a grievance to be filed <br />against J. Merritt White and commented on the $30,000.00 settlement with <br />Hartsell & Williams, PA. <br />(K) WATER 6 SEWER DISTRICT OF CABARRUS COUNTY <br />(No items of business.) <br />(L) CLOSED SESSION <br />(L-1) Closed Session to Consult with the Attorney regarding Potential <br />Litigation as Authorized by NCGS 143-318.11(a)(3) <br />UPON MOTION of Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Closed Session to consult <br />with the attorney to discuss pending litigation as authorized by N.C. General <br />Statute 143-318.11(a)(3). <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner <br />Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board moved to come out of Closed <br />Session. <br />(M) RECESS OF MEETING <br />With there being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman <br />Carruth recessed the meeting at 9:15 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />September 26, 2006, at Harrisburg Town Hall. <br />Clerk o e Bo r <br />
