<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner
<br />Privette and unanimously carried, the Board approved a request to adjust an
<br />existing County right-of-way on property owned by Teresa Eudy (Parcel ID#
<br />9691075928) located at the South end of Lake Don T. Howell and authorized the
<br />County Manager and County Attorney to complete the transaction, subject to
<br />review and approval by the Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County.
<br />(F-17) DSS - Approval of Work First Bloak Grant & Amendment to the FY 05-07
<br />Plan to Extend the Exemption for Mothers of Infante
<br />The Work First Block Grant Plan for the County must be approved by the
<br />Board of Commissioners every two years. The FY 07-09 plan has been
<br />completed. Permission is required to change the exemption for mothers of
<br />infants from birth to 3 months (current plan) to birth to 12 months (state
<br />standard).
<br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner
<br />Privette and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Work First Block
<br />Grant Plan for FY 07-09 and approved the amendment to the FY 05-07 plan to
<br />extend the exemption for mothers ofinfants.
<br />Cox Mill 9ahool/Park - Award Bid to Mountain Creek Contraatora. LLC
<br />On Thursday, September 19, 2006, five bids were received and opened for
<br />the Cox Mill School/Park project. The overall low bidder was Mountain Creek
<br />Contractors, LLC at $2,304,500.00. Through value engineering, this project
<br />bid was reduced to within approved funds of $1,590,006.00. Cabarrus County
<br />Parks and Recreation Department recommends awarding the contract bid to
<br />Mountain Creek Contractors, LLC for $1,590,006.00. The bid tabulation is as

<br />purchase of a right-of-way and easement for the Carl A. Furr Elementary
