<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Cabarrus County Board of
<br />Commissioners, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-90(a), does
<br />hereby:
<br />(1) Establish the Board's regular agenda work session schedule to meet
<br />at 3:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental Center on the
<br />following dates:

<br />April 2, 2007
<br />May 7, 2007
<br />June 9, 2007

<br />(2) Establish the Board's regular meeting schedule to meet at 6:30 p.m.
<br />in the Commissioner's Meeting Room at the Governmental Center on the
<br />following dates:

<br />April 16, 2007
<br />May 21, 2007
<br />June 18, 2007
<br />July 23, 2007

<br />(3) Set the organizational meeting on Monday, December 3, 2007, in the
<br />Commissioners' Meeting Room (time to be determined); and
<br />(4) Resolve that any recessed, special or emergency meeting will be
<br />held as needed with proper notice as required by North Carolina General
<br />Statute 153A-90.
<br />(5) Establish the Board's budget meeting schedule for 2007 as follows:
<br />• January 19 & 20, 2007 - Goal Setting Retreat at Camp T. N. Spencer Park
<br />(Times to be determined)
<br />• May 21, 2007 (Regular Meeting) - Presentation of Budget Message and
<br />Preliminary Balanced Budget
<br />• May 22 & 23, 2007 - Budget Workshops - Multipurpose Room, Governmental
<br />Center, 3:30 p.m.
<br />• June 18, 2007 (Regular Meeting)
<br />Potential Budget Adoption
<br />- Hold Public Hearing on Budget &

<br />(G) NEW BUSINESS
<br />Note: Item G-9 (Kannapolis City Schools - Approval of $40,000 Land
<br />Option) was moved to the first item under New Business.
<br />(G-9) Kannapolis Citv Schools - Approval of $40,000 Land Option
<br />Pam Dubois, Deputy County Manager, reported the Board had several
<br />questions on the land option at their work session and requested additional
<br />information. She further reported the purchase option had been sent to each
<br />Board member electronically for review.
<br />Will Crabtree, Kannapolis City Schools, responded to a variety of
<br />questions on property previously purchased by Kannapolis City Schools, and
<br />the Rogers' property. He also reported the Rogers property has not been
<br />appraised; if the option fails, the County would loose its money and a copy
<br />of the purchase option has been provided to the Board. He requested
<br />$20, 000.00 for the option to hold the land and $20, 000.00 for soil borings
<br />and other tests on the property.
