<br />January 10, 2005 (Recessed Meeting) <br /> <br />Page 53 <br /> <br />(14) Condemnation Action for .084273 Acres:!: at the Intersection of State <br />Roads 1304 and 1305 <br /> <br />Mr. Hartsell requested authorization to proceed with condemnation <br />action for .084273 acres:!: located at the intersection of State Road No. <br />1304jState Road No. 1305 and owned by the Roberta United Methodist Church. <br />The property is needed to improve access to, from and around the pitts School <br />Road Middle School. He stated the middle school was financed with <br />Certificates of Participation; therefore, the County technically owns the <br />school and should be a party to that proceeding. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Chairman Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board added consideration of the condemnation <br />action for the .084273 acres! to the Agenda. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Freeman <br />and unanimously carried, the Board authorized condemnation of .084273 acres~ <br />located at the intersection of State Road No. 1304jState Road No. 1305 and <br />owned by the Roberta United Methodist Church, for the purpose of improving <br />access to, from and around the pitts School Road Middle School for the safety <br />of both the students and general public. <br /> <br />(15) Change in Meeting Time for the Meeting on January 24, 2005 <br /> <br />Due to a scheduling conflict, Vice Chairman Carruth requested that the <br />Board meeting on January 24 begin at 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Chairman Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board added the modification of the regular <br />meeting schedule for January 2005 to the Agenda. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Freeman <br />and unanimously carried, the Board by resolution amended the regular meeting <br />schedule to change the time of the regular meeting on January 24, 2005 from <br />6:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />(16) Recess of Meeting <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, <br />Carpenter recessed the meeting at 7:58 p.m. until 12:00 p.m. on <br />January 211 2005, in the Helms Dining Hall at Camp T.
