<br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette
<br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the following budget amendment:

<br />DEPARTMENT OF LIBRARY - CONCORD
<br />AMOUNT: $17,460.00
<br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request
<br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: The library applied for and was awarded an LSTA Library
<br />Marketing Grant. This grant will be used to promote "the services offered by
<br />the Cabarrus County Public Library. After amendment into the current budget,
<br />all funds will be expended during the current fiscal year. Items to be
<br />purchased and/or created with these funds include display furniture,
<br />brochures I posters, bookmarks 1 library cards, registration forms and
<br />stationary. Funds will cover the cost of graphic consultant/artist fees to
<br />create and generate printed items. Work will be coordinated with the County
<br />Public Information Dept.
