<br /> <br />March 21, 2005 (Regular Meeting) <br /> <br />Page <br /> <br />130 <br /> <br />(H-2) <br /> <br />Transportation Advisory Board <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Carruth <br />and unanimously carried, the Board appointed the following to the <br />Transportation Advisory Board: Cynthia Hubbard [Nevins Center new <br />appointment supported employment (ADA)] and Alice Leonard (Assisted Living) <br />for terms ending June 30, 2006; and Justin Brines (EMS - Replace Michael <br />Stafford)) and Sharon Corfening (Social Worker Division of the Blind <br />Replace Wendy Griffin) for terms ending June 30, 2007. <br /> <br />(I) REPORTS <br /> <br />There were no reports. <br /> <br />(J) GENERAL COMMENTS BY BOARD MEMBERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Freeman commented on the Cabarrus Compact that was signed <br />by Board members in January and questioned the Board's intent to abide by the <br />Compact. <br /> <br />There was brief discussion regarding the Compact. It was generally <br />agreed that the Board does intend to abide by the Compact. <br /> <br />(K) WATER & SEWER DISTRICT OF CABARRUS COUNTY - REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board recessed the meeting of the Board of <br />Commissioners at 10:28 p.m. until the conclusion of the meeting of the Water <br />and Sewer District. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of vice <br />and unanimously carried, <br />Board of Commissioners at <br /> <br />Chairman Carruth, seconded <br />the Board reconvened the <br />10:29 p.m. <br /> <br />by Commissioner Privette <br />regular meeting of the <br /> <br />(L) CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Chairman Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Closed Session to discuss <br />a personnel matter(s) as authorized by North Carolina General Statute 143- <br />318.11(a)6). Further, the Board invited Mike Downs, Deputy County Manager, <br />to join the Board in Closed Session. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Freeman, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board moved to come out of the Closed Session. <br /> <br />No action was reported from the Closed Session. <br /> <br />(M) ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman <br />Carpenter adjourned the meeting at 10:45 p.m. <br /> <br />J-~ J-. ~ <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br />
