She stated the <br />Child Support Program in Cabarrus County collected $7.5 million in child <br />support as of June 30. <br /> <br />(C-2) Proclamation - Spirit of the ADA Celebration Day <br /> <br />vice Chairman Carruth presented the following Proclamation proclaiming <br />July 25, 2005 as "Spirit of the ADA Celebration Day". <br /> <br />County of Cabarrus, North Carolina <br />Proclamation <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus recognizes and honors the 15th Anniversary of <br />the Americans with Disabilities Act and the 30th Anniversary of Individuals <br />with Disabilities Education Act on July 26, 2005; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Twenty Partners, <br />and organizations, have <br />Disabilities Act; and <br /> <br />representing various local agencies, governments <br />come together to celebrate the Americans with <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus celebrates and honors the achievements of <br />people with disabilities who live in our community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus supports the CK <br />ParaTransit services) which is making great <br />accessible bus system in the near future; and <br /> <br />Rider System (by providing <br />strides towards a fully <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />Americans <br />usable to <br /> <br />we honor the businesses in our community who comply with the <br />with Disabilities Act by making their establishments accessible and <br />all patrons with disabilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Cabarrus had the foresight to join a newly formed ADA <br />Task Force, which held its first meeting on December 6, 2000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Task <br />Accessibility Action <br />continued to support; <br /> <br />Force has <br />Committee <br />and <br /> <br />developed and <br />(CAAC) which <br /> <br />evolved into <br />the County of <br /> <br />the Cabarrus <br />Cabarrus has <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the CAAC's has remained committed to enhancing the quality of life <br />for people with disabilities in the Cabarrus County Area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, we celebrate those positive changes in our community so people with <br />disabilities can be free from negative attitude and architectural barriers. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners does hereby <br />proclaim July 26, 2005 as <br /> <br />"SPIRIT OF THE ADA CELEBRATION DAY" <br /> <br />in the County of Cabarrus, and encourage all citizens of Cabarrus County to. <br />recognize that the Americans with Disabilities Act has, and will continue to, <br />improve the quality of life for people with and without disabilities. <br /> <br />WITNESS MY HAND and the official Seal of the County of Cabarrus <br /> <br />/s/: Robert W.
