He <br />recommended the contract be awarded to the low bidder, Sabre Communications <br />Corporation. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Freeman <br />and unanimously carried, the Board awarded the bid for two Public Safety Towers <br />to Sabre Communications Corporation in the amount of $141,783.00 per tower. <br /> <br />(G-4) Presentation by Residents of Historic Concord, J:nc. on the Jail and Jail <br />Annex Project <br /> <br />Item G-4 was moved to Item E-4 and heard in conjunction with the piedmont <br />Preservation Foundation presentation. <br /> <br />(H) APPOINTMENTS TO BOARDS AND COMMITTEES <br /> <br />(H-J.) <br /> <br />Social Services Board <br /> <br />The term of appointment for Tom Ramseur ended June 30, 2005. Mr. Ramseur <br />not longer resides in Cabarrus County and was ineligible for reappointment to <br />the Social Services Board. <br /> <br />UPON MOTJ:ON of Commissioner Juba, seconded by Commissioner Privette and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Betty Jean Prewitt to the Social <br />Services Board for a 3-year term ending June 30, 2008. <br /> <br />(H-2) Midland <br />Commissioners <br /> <br />volunteer <br /> <br />Fire <br /> <br />Department <br /> <br />Fire <br /> <br />Protection <br /> <br />District <br /> <br /> <br />UPON MOTJ:ON of Chairman Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Privette and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Jerry Tucker and Rick Haigler as Fire <br />Protection District Commissioners as recommended by the Midland Volunteer Fire <br />Department with terms ending March 31, 2007. <br /> <br />Howard Troutman serves as the third Fire Protection District Commissioner <br />for Midland. <br /> <br />(H-3) Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded <br />and unanimously carried, the Board voted to remove <br />Adult Care Home Community Advisory committee for <br />required attendance. <br /> <br />by Commissioner Privette <br />Sheryl Findland from the <br />failure to complete the <br /> <br />UPON MOTJ:ON of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Ernestine Earnhardt to the Adult <br />Care Home Community Advisory Committee for a three-year term ending June 30, <br />2008, and reappointed Joanne Yurchison for a 3-year term ending July 31, 2008. <br /> <br />(H-4) <br /> <br />criminal Justice Partnership Program Advisory Board <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Juba and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Commissioner Privette, John Day, <br />Superior Court Judge Erwin Spainhour (Exception to Appointment Policy), Barrett <br />poppler (District Attorney Designee) and Benjamin Small (Criminal Defense <br />Attorney) to the Criminal Justice Partnership Advisory Board for a three-year <br />term ending April 30, 2008. Further, the Board appointed District Court Judge <br />Michael Knox, Scott Stoker (Juvenile Court Counselor) and Marie Stegall <br />(Community Service Coordinator - At-Large) to complete unexpired terms ending <br />April 30, 2007. <br /> <br />(H-5) Transportation Advisory Board <br />
