<br />November 7, 2005 - Recessed Meeting/Work Session <br /> <br />Page <br /> <br />392 <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board voted to place the Voluntary and Enhanced <br />Voluntary Agriculture District Ordinance on the November 21st Agenda as a New <br />Business item and set a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on November 21, 2005. <br /> <br />Additional Items for the Agenda Work Session <br /> <br />Chairman Carpenter stated there were a number of items remaining on the <br />County Manager's list to be discussed during the Work Session. Also, she <br />said the Board would need to go back into Closed Session to discuss pending <br />litigation. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Juba and <br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized the County Manager to use his <br />discretion in placing the remaining items on the November 21st Agenda for <br />consideration by the Board. <br /> <br />Closed Session <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Juba and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to go into Closed Session to consult <br />with the County Attorney in order to preserve the attorney-client privilege <br />and discuss pending or threatened litigation as authorized by N. C. General <br />Statute 143-318.11 (a) (3) . <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Juba and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved to come out of Closed Session. <br /> <br />Recess of Meeting <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Vice Chairman Carruth, seconded by Chairman Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the meeting was recessed at 7:30 p.m. until 2:30 <br />p.m. on November 17, 2005, in the Multipurpose Room at the Governmental <br />Center. <br /> <br />j~ J-.~ <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br />
