Jonathan Marshall f Commerce Director I and Construction <br />Standards staff proposed a separate Schedule C fee structure to provide more <br />equitable compensation for work performed by staff. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Chairman Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following as Schedule C of the <br />Construction Standards Fee Schedule: <br /> <br />Schedule C - Demolition Permits <br /> <br />Size - Square feet to be demolished <br />Less than 500 <br />500 - 4,999 <br />5,000 - 9,999 <br />10,000 and above <br /> <br />Per Structure Fee <br />$100 <br />$400 <br />$600 <br />$750 <br /> <br />(F-14) Designation of Unallocated Operating Fund Balance of Cabarrus County <br />Tourism Authority <br /> <br />Per action by the Cabarrus County Tourism Authority (CCTA) on September <br />28, 2005, it was requested that CCTA's remaining unallocated operating fund <br />balance on June 30, 2005 be designated to the operating reserve for any <br />contingencies of CCTA during Fiscal Year 2006. The total amount of excess <br />funds at June 30, 2005, was $688,288.00. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Chairman Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the request by the Cabarrus <br />County Tourism Authority to allow CCTA's remaining unallocated operating fund <br />balance of $688,288.00 on June 30, 2005, be designated to the operating <br />reserve for any contingencies during Fiscal Year 2006. <br /> <br />(F-15) Resolution for <br />(Approximately 8 Acres <br />Cabarrus County Landfill <br /> <br />C&D <br />within <br /> <br />(Construction <br />the Existing <br /> <br />and Demolition) <br />Permitted Boundary) <br /> <br />Expansion <br />for the <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Chairman Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following resolution: <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2005-28 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />LOCAL GOVERNMENT APPROVAL <br />CABARRUS COUNTY C&D LANDFILL <br /> <br />RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Cabarrus County, hereby <br />grants prior approval for the issuance of a construction and demolition <br />landfill permit by the Division of Waste Management to Cabarrus County in <br />compliance with North Carolina Solid Waste Management Rules 15A NCAC 13B <br />.0504 (1) (e). Said landfill is proposed to be established on approximately 8 <br />acres within the existing permitted boundary of the Cabarrus County Landfill <br />located on Irish Potato Road as shown on the attached map (Sheet C-2 as part <br />of the Permit to Construct Application dated May 2005), which acreage is <br />wholly located within the zoning jurisdiction of Cabarrus County. The Board <br />of County Commissioners hereby approves of the following items related to <br />this proposed solid waste management facility: <br /> <br />1. The service area for this facility shall be the counties of Cabarrus I <br />Mecklenburg, Rowan, and Stanly in North Carolina, including any <br />municipalities located therein. In the case of municipalities that are <br />located in more than one county, only that part of the municipality located <br />within the counties listed previously shall be part of the service area.
