The original $35,000.00 contract was based upon the jack <br />hole being plumb, clear of rock or other underground conditions that would <br />hinder the installation of the new jack. Those conditions did not exist and <br />the existing jack hold must be redrilled to allow PVC to be installed in the <br />new jack hole. The drilling company completed Change Order No. 1 for <br />$6,238.05, including the removal of water from the hole and measurements of <br />the entire hole for an alignment tool to be made. Change Order No. 2 in the <br />amount of $83,784.74 was a not-to-exceed price to complete the work. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Chairman Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved Change Order No. 2 with <br />ThyssenKrupp Elevator to complete elevator repairs at the Courthouse in the <br />amount of $83,787.74 (not to exceed price) and adopted the following budget <br />amendment of $90,026.00 (funding for Change Orders No. 1 and 2); and <br />authorized the County Manager to sign Change Order No.2. <br /> <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICE <br />AMOUNT: $90,026.00 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Funds needed for Change <br />elevator at the Cabarrus County Courthouse. <br />allow installation of PVC for new jack. <br /> <br />Orders to complete work on the <br />Jack hole must be re-drilled to <br /> <br />Present Approved <br />Account No. Budget Increase <br />00192210-9501BM $96,109.05 $90,026.00 <br />Building & Grounds Maintenance (Courts) <br />00161710-6901 $3,310,788.65 $90,026.00 <br />Fund Balance Appropriated <br /> <br />Decrease <br /> <br />Revised Budget <br />$186,135.05 <br /> <br />$3,400,814.65 <br /> <br />(F-12) Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office Training Center and Firing Range Fee <br />Schedule <br /> <br />All law enforcement agencies in Cabarrus County and other area <br />jurisdictions currently have the opportunity to utilize the Training Center <br />and Firearm Range at no cost. The Sheriff's Office has proposed to charge a <br />usage fee to area agencies to offset future expenses incurred for repairs and <br />upgrades. The funds received from this usage fee will be accounted for in the <br />Special Revenue Fund set up exclusively for the Sheriff's Office. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette I seconded by Chairman Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Training Center and <br />Firearm Range Fee Schedule: <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />TRAINING CENTER AND FIRING RANGE <br /> <br />FEE SCHEDULE <br />EFFECTIVE DATE: JANUARY 1, 2006 <br /> <br />$50.00 PER DAY OF USAGE - CHARGED FOR UP TO TEN OFFICERS <br />$ 5.00 PER DAY OF USAGE - CHARGED FOR EACH ADDITIONAL OFFICER OVER TEN <br /> <br />EXEMPT AGENCIES: <br />THE FOLLOWING AGENCIES ARE EXEMPT FROM THIS FEE SCHEDULE DUE TO AN IN- <br />KIND RELATIONSHIP WITH THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE: <br /> <br />.
