This item was deferred in November to the December meeting at the request of the County Attorney. The easement was identified as follows: Parcel NO. MA 10022 B 003, Tax ID: 4681157264. Permanent Drainage Easement Area is described as follows: Point of beginning being the southwest corner of the undersigned, and being S 66-07-30 W, 253.12 feet from a point in the centerline of -L-, Sta. 20+00; thence to a point on a bearing of N62-12-00 E, a distance of 39.9 feet (12.17 meters); thence to a point on a bearing of N 27-59-00 W, a distance of 19.8 feet (6.05 meters); thence to a point on a bearing of S 62-01. The final right of way plans showing the above described area are to be certified and recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds for said county pursuant to N.C.G.S. 136-19.4, reference to which plans is hereby made for purposes of further description and for greater certainty. Temporary Construction Easement Area is described as follows: Point of beginning being a point in the southeast line of the undersigned, and being S72-46-00 W, 104.91 feet from a point in the centerline of -L-, Sta. 20+00; thence to a point on a bearing of N 43-32-00 E, a distance of 187.4 feet (57.13 meters); thence to a point on a bearing of N 65-23-00 E, a distance of 42.9 feet (13.07 meters); thence along a circular curve 75.7 feet (23.08 meters) and having a radius of 660.0 feet (201.17 meters). The chord of said curve being on a bearing of S 38-33-00 W, a distance of 75.7 feet (23.06 meters); thence to a point on a bearing of S 41-50-30 W, a distance of 12.2 feet (3.71 meters); thence along a circular curve 86.4 feet (26.34 meters) and having a radius of 320.0 feet (97.54 meters). The chord of said curve being on a bearing of S 49-34-30 W, a distance of 86.2 feet (26.26 meters); thence to a point on a bearing of S 57-18-30 W, a distance of 18.4 feet (5.60 meters); thence along a circular curve 37.4 feet (11.40 meters) and having a radius of 1250.0 feet (381.00 meters). The chord of said curve being on a bearing of S 58-10-00 W, a distance of 37.4 feet (11.40 meters); returning to the point and place of beginning. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board approved the sale of right-of- way and construction easement to the North Carolina Department of Transportation as set forth above and granted permission to the County Manager and County Attorney to complete the transaction. Further, the Board awarded $1,500.00 in compensation to the Harris Road Middle School and adopted the following budget amendment: BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AMOUNT: $1,500.00 TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Appropriate funds that will be received from the Department of Transportation to Harris Road Middle School. The DOT will purchase land for a permanent and construction easement from land at Harris Road Middle School for a new bridge on Harris Road. The Cabarrus Board of Education requested that the funds be appropriated for use at Harris Road Middle due to the relocation of their ball fields.
