The Cabarrus County Board of Education requested the <br />compensation be given to the Harris Road Middle School. This item was <br />deferred in November to the December meeting at the request of the County <br />Attorney. <br /> <br />The easement was identified as follows: Parcel NO. MA 10022 B 003, Tax <br />ID: 4681157264. <br /> <br />Permanent Drainage Easement Area is described as follows: <br /> <br />Point of beginning being the southwest corner of the <br />undersigned, and being S 66-07-30 W, 253.12 feet from a point in <br />the centerline of -L-, Sta. 20+00; thence to a point on a bearing <br />of N62-12-00 E, a distance of 39.9 feet (12.17 meters); thence to <br />a point on a bearing of N 27-59-00 W, a distance of 19.8 feet <br />(6.05 meters); thence to a point on a bearing of S 62-01. The <br />final right of way plans showing the above described area are to <br />be certified and recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds <br />for said county pursuant to N.C.G.S. 136-19.4, reference to which <br />plans is hereby made for purposes of further description and for <br />greater certainty. <br /> <br />Temporary Construction Easement Area is described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Point of beginning being a point in the southeast line of <br />the undersigned, and being S72-46-00 W, 104.91 feet from a point <br />in the centerline of -L-, Sta. 20+00; thence to a point on a <br />bearing of N 43-32-00 E, a distance of 187.4 feet (57.13 meters); <br />thence to a point on a bearing of N 65-23-00 E, a distance of <br />42.9 feet (13.07 meters); thence along a circular curve 75.7 feet <br />(23.08 meters) and having a radius of 660.0 feet (201.17 meters). <br />The chord of said curve being on a bearing of S 38-33-00 W, a <br />distance of 75.7 feet (23.06 meters); thence to a point on a <br />bearing of S 41-50-30 W, a distance of 12.2 feet (3.71 meters); <br />thence along a circular curve 86.4 feet (26.34 meters) and having <br />a radius of 320.0 feet (97.54 meters). The chord of said curve <br />being on a bearing of S 49-34-30 W, a distance of 86.2 feet <br />(26.26 meters); thence to a point on a bearing of S 57-18-30 W, a <br />distance of 18.4 feet (5.60 meters); thence along a circular <br />curve 37.4 feet (11.40 meters) and having a radius of 1250.0 feet <br />(381.00 meters). The chord of said curve being on a bearing of S <br />58-10-00 W, a distance of 37.4 feet (11.40 meters); returning to <br />the point and place of beginning. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner <br />Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board approved the sale of right-of- <br />way and construction easement to the North Carolina Department of <br />Transportation as set forth above and granted permission to the County <br />Manager and County Attorney to complete the transaction. Further, the Board <br />awarded $1,500.00 in compensation to the Harris Road Middle School and <br />adopted the following budget amendment: <br /> <br />BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE <br />AMOUNT: $1,500.00 <br />TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Supplemental Request <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Appropriate funds that will be received from the <br />Department of Transportation to Harris Road Middle School. The DOT will <br />purchase land for a permanent and construction easement from land at Harris <br />Road Middle School for a new bridge on Harris Road.
