The project will cost $28,000.00. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Freeman <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the construction of two <br />additional show rings and one practice ring in the existing gravel overflow <br />parking lots at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center as proposed with funds <br />from the Cabarrus Arena Capital Projects Fund. <br /> <br />(G-U) Cold Water Volunteer Fire Department - Purchase of New 2005 Pierce <br />Contender DX Tanker <br /> <br />The Cold Water Volunteer Fire Department (Governing Body) wishes to <br />purchase a new 2005 pierce Contender DX Tanker and is working with Oshkosh <br />Capital to secure the appropriate financing to complete the purchase. The <br />Fire Department has requested the Board to execute the Chief Elected <br />Executive Officer's Approval form pursuant to Section 147(f) of the Internal <br />Revenue Code of 1986, as amended; and approve the incurrence by the fire <br />department for an amount up to $100,000.00 for the purpose of purchasing the <br />tanker. <br /> <br />UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Commissioner Freeman <br />and unanimously carried, the Board authorized the execution of the Chief <br />Elected Executive Officer's Approval form pursuant to Section 147 (f) of the <br />Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, for the financing of $100,000.00 <br />by the Cold Water Volunteer Fire Department to purchase a new 2005 pierce <br />Contender DX Tanker. <br /> <br />(G-14) Jail Project - Budget Amendment for the Funding of Amendment #5 for <br />Ware Bonsall Architects <br /> <br />On October 3, 2005, the Board of Commissioners approved Amendment No. 5 <br />to the contract with Ware Bonsall Architects for the redesign of Law <br />Enforcement Center parking due to the sale of County property for the <br />relocation of the Cline and Propst houses.
