August 18, 2003 Page 228 <br /> <br />APPOIN~%fENTS TO BO~tRDS AND COMMITTEES <br /> <br />(G-l) 2004 Community Development Block Grant Scattered Site Housing <br />Rehabilitation Program Selection Committee <br /> <br /> Cabarrus County must appoint a person to the 2004 Community Development <br />Block Grant (CDBG) Scattered Site Program Selection Committee that will help <br />prioritize clients as well as serve in dispute resolution regarding the program. <br />In a Memorandum dated July 23, 2003, Ms. Kelly Sifford, Community Development <br />Manager, recommended the appointment of Mike Byrd to the Committee. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Chairman Freeman and <br />unanimously carried, the Board appointed Mike Byrd of the County Planning <br />Department to the 2004 CDBG Scattered Site Program Selection Committee. <br /> <br />(~-2) Cabarrus County Plannlng and Zoning Commission <br /> <br /> Mr. J. Marc Wilder, At-Large Member of the Planning and Zoning Commission, <br />has resigned. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Privette, seconded by Vice Chairman Suggs and <br />unanimously carried, the Board named A. Eugene Divine, Alternate Member of the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission, to fill the vacant At-Large Position. Mr. Divine <br />will complete an unexpired term ending January 31, 2004. <br /> <br /> The Board will consider the appointment of a new Alternate member in <br />September. <br /> <br />(~-3) Adult Care Home Community Advisor~ Committee <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carruth, seconded by Commissioner Privette and <br />unanimously carried, the Board reappointed Gail Hall to the Adult Care Home <br />Community Advisory Committee for a term of three years ending August 31, 2006. <br />Further, the Board appointed Opal Burris to the Advisory Committee for an initial <br />term of one year ending August 31, 2004. <br /> <br />(~-4) Juvenile Crime Prevention Council <br /> <br /> The Board received the letter dated August 4, 2003 from Wesley Seamon, <br />Chief Court Counselor, listing the recommended reappointments/appointments to <br />Cabarrus County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC).
