He stated it would not prohibit <br />Board members from contacting any of the municipal officials nor prohibit <br />municipal officials from contacting any Board member. <br /> <br />(H) INFORMAL PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br /> Chairman Freeman opened the Informal Public Comments portion of the <br />meeting at 8:10 p.m. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gene Cruse criticized the Board on how it handled the "firing" of <br />the County Manager and stated in his opinion the Board should have told the <br />public why it "fired" the Manager. He questioned the Board's decision to <br />"fire" the Manager and the comments made by Board members praising Mr. <br />Clifton for the outstanding job he had done. <br /> <br />(I) COMMISSIONERS DISCUSSION & RESPONSE TO INFORMAL PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />There was no discussion by the Board. <br /> <br />(J) REPORTS <br /> <br /> The following reports were included as a part of the Agenda: (J-l) <br />Status Report on Liability and Property Insurance Fund; (J-2) Status Report <br />on Workers' Compensation Fund; (J-3) Status Report from Compensation Claims <br />Solutions for In-House Bill Review Program; and (J-4) Appointment Report for <br />the State of North Carolina for the Period July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2002. <br /> <br /> <br />
